The chateau and the pool are built
on a single level and are approached by a winding private drive, which is
bordered by mature trees and shrubs.
The property is set in an estate of
around 14 hectares and the chateau offers around 2700 m² of living
accommodation.
The rear of the chateau is accessed
from the drive by way of a courtyard. The courtyard is closed on three sides
by the chateau to the South and service buildings on the East and West side.
Main-house :
The ground floor of the chateau has
a central hallway with polished stone floors, cut stonewalls and intricate
plaster details in the ceiling, access to the first floor by way of an
immense stone staircase.
There are four principal reception
rooms each of around 100 m², salon, dining room, library and music room. All
have ornate panelling, period fireplaces and parquet
floors.
Modern design kitchen with granite
worktops and built in appliances.
Second kitchen / utility room which
also has built in units and services for washing
machines.
A smaller hallway lading to a
further two rooms, a cloakroom, various cupboards and the
garage.
The first floor has a similar layout
to the ground floor.
Four principal bedrooms each around
100m², two of hem have en suite bathrooms, two further bedrooms open onto a
small hall with a dressing room and a
bathroom.
Bedroom 5 and 6 have a small
washstand inside a cupboard.
A 4th bathroom, Jacuzzi room with a
shower and a sauna.
Another huge room recently been used
as a gym but could be converted to prove a further two large bedrooms and a
bathroom.
Accessed from the main stairway the
second floor has a central hallway with various cupboards and storage areas
along the hallway.
Two more large rooms 150 m² each,
one of them serves as the billiard room and the second one is a huge
playroom with a mezzanine floor.
Outbuildings:
Beneath the chateau are five vaulted
cellars currently used for storage of garden equipment, but designed to
house wine and food.
The chai, which would have
originally been used for producing the properties own wine, is currently
used as an extensive workshop and storage
area.
There is also a small,
self-contained guardians cottage, which has four mains rooms, a covered
terrace, central heating and is in good overall condition.
Swimming pool:
The swimming pool has been
constructed to the East side of the chateau and enjoys full sunshine for
most of the day. Paved terraces surround the pool and lead to a barbeque
area and shaded dining terrace.
The pool is a reinforced concrete
construction with a liner and small central island.
